Can You Reverse Diabetes?

Some diabetes experts, like Matt Traverso, are adamant that it can be, and the need for insulin and other medical interventions may, with some luck, be eliminated. While the medical establishment admits that diet and exercise can greatly impact the course of Type 2 diabetes, the consensus opinion is more that can be all but reversed, but talk of actually reversing it may be at best premature. But for those who have type 2, the hope that they can eliminate it persists, and some well known diabetics, like Janet Smith, think believe that the disease process can be changed.

What Are the Causes of Type 2 Diabetes?

We discuss this at length, and go into much more then the obvious questions of weight gain, insulin, and the pancrease. Despite all the scientific data, we actually know way too little.

What Am I Doing Wrong?

Most likely, a good diet and lots of exercise is not enough to reverse diabetes.  But it can sure do a lot to improve your blood sugar levels  and is an important component of your self care. We discuss what in addition to that you can do to take ownership of your health.

These are just a few of the many ideas, answers, and questions to explore on our website. Welcome and have a look around. We are brand new so there is a lot of construction going on.
